Patient Teacher
Paul Sarafin has extensive experience as a performing musician and has an equal passion for education with unique expertise from earning separate degrees in both Music -AND- Education.
Shortly after working in the music industry as a song writer and performer Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music at George Fox University. His Post-Bacheloriate studies culminated in a degree in Education. He worked as an activity therapist, and teacher in the Alaska school system in the field of special education before moving to teaching guitar privately in his own studio full-time. For two decades he has worked with a variety of exceptional learners, from the highly gifted to individuals with significant learning challenges.
Paul is a Suzuki Method teacher registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, having participated in numerous teacher trainings with the SAA. He was the director of the Alaska Suzuki Guitar Workshop, and has also hosted multiple teacher training events in Alaska.
Most importantly, he is a warm-hearted and patient educator with a deep passion for sharing the gift of music!
